All is not lost!

2022 has been an interesting year in many ways.  A strong, fast market in the early part of the year saw many buyers frustrated by bidding situations, rising prices and low availability of suitable homes.

The well publicised issues of the latter part of the year certainly dampened the market, but most buyers remain keen to complete and new buyers are now returning to the market, ready to take advantage of there being less competition and a little more choice.

Sales may take a little longer but confidence is growing that the market is settling in to the ‘new norm’ following a period of robust house price growth.

We know that the disappointed prospective buyers of early 2022 haven’t all disappeared or scrapped the idea of buying, recognising that fundamentally property remains a good long term investment.
